Rebecca Lilly Segura

I am a longarm quilter who also produces art quilts.  I graduated from the University of Hawaii at Manoa in 1986 with an art degree but never really pursued a career in art.  As I get older, I keep longing to get back  to art and I want/need to re-ignite my passion for art in my love for fabric, thread, and stitch.  I love the process of creating an art quilt from initial fleeting thought to the finished piece.   My favorite part is the threadwork;  I am truly amazed at how something as simple as thread can dramatically change the texture and look of a piece of fabric.  To see some of my thread work look at my threadwork page.   I am a member of  Studio Art Quilt Associates, Midwest Professional Machine Quilters, Greater Omaha Area Longarm Support,  Braided River Quilt Guild, Piecemaker’s Quilt Guild, and The American Quilt Study Group in Lincoln, NE.  I also subscribe to Quilting Arts Magazine, read quilting blogs, and belong to  a few discussion/focus/social groups online.
